Hoorah!! The new CD, "So Little Has Changed," is now available for you'uns! Just click on the picture here and it will take you to the order page at CDBaby. Our website friends in San Antonio at Digital Connect are close to putting up 3 new websites, and Cindy Hill in Vermont is writing a review for us. We've already been getting some phenomenal response from the prerelease copies we distributed. All of us at puffBunny records are chompin' at the bit to get this product in the mail or on the download.
In the meantime, you might want to check out a cut from the new album Bob Alan and I wrote that Steve Wallace edited into a video format from some actual Jack's Tracks studio shots, and our good buddy Jerre Haskew put up on YouTube. He also included three clips from the Cumberland Trio DVD... Just click on: Cypress Lake
Eben and I debuted many of the songs off the new album at Hondo's on Main, the evening of June 10. Besides the "So Little Has Changed" album, we also performed songs from a live CD of our last visit to Hondo's back in October of 2006. It's Eben's and my first "Live" effort and I hope it will soon be followed by a DVD. Because of Hondo's owner, Cris Graham, and the great staff and bartender, J.P., this venue is one of our favorite places to play and if you are ever in the area, I highly recommend their Texas style Ruben!
Also thanks to Dick Renko, Muzik Management; representing Trout Fishing in America; Austin Lounge Lizards; Mollie O'Brien; Terri Hendrix, and others for writing:"As the reviewers suggest Pie's singing remains strong, clear, and passionate. Listening to this music is like putting on your favorite pair of blue jeans, so comfortable and the fit is perfect, voice, words and music matched with real experience, character, grace, and charm.. I was particularly moved by Walking on The Moon... as I listened, several things occurred to me, the first is that this song is ageless, it works well for children and for anyone that is interested in improving growing in life, and facing demons without fear. We love the whole CD."
Also, meet some of my favorite fellow singers, songwriters, and musicians

Jerre Haskew of The Cumberland Trio wrote me the other day to say that the "Back Where We Began," DVD, from the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN, is getting a ton of airplay on internet radio. Seems there is a lot of interest in American folk music around the world. Jerre was so kind and gracious to invite me to sit in with them on this album, and when they harmonized on the old Pozo hit, "Time," it was goose bumpsville! Steve Wallace from Chattanooga did the filming, editing and fine tuning of the project and I'm bowled over by the great quality of the finished product. If you're interested in purchasing one, just click on their picture here and order!
Here's a special thank you to John Conlee for his wonderful version of "Peace Within" on his gospel CD,
"Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus." Allen Reynolds, Dickey Lee and I penned this tune a few years back and we made our own demo at Reynolds studio, Jack's Tracks. Pal Reynolds sang the lead and Dickey and I harmonized. I still love that work tape. The Forrester Sisters were first to record it shortly after we wrote it and I'm so pleased that John brings it back now. Peace is a mighty thing!
"Jubal" is a collection of songs from a decade or more of singing and pickin'. There's a tune I wrote with Herb McCullough, and Debbie Nims on it called, "Oh, Mandolin," that is on its way to becoming a bluegrass classic, especially after Valerie Smith's version on her "Turtle Wings" CD, with Liberty Pike, and Tim O'Brien on mando. Mike Taylor and I wrote the opening cut, "I Don't Like It" and there are quite a few Sharon Riddell/Pie tunes too! Of course, "Jubal" remains my most requested song at live performances, which is a great tribute to a great friend and companion. Click on ol' Jubal's picture and give a listen!
"Long Ride Home" is still selling well thanks to folks like John Alfano, an old Pozo-Seco fan, and music reviewer for Amazon.com, who wrote: "Just a few words to heartily recommend Taylor's CD "Long Ride Home" to anyone interested in some excellent folk recordings. Taylor, formerly Susan Taylor of the Pozo-Seco Singers, has a voice that remains vibrant some 35 years after Pozo-Seco. From the gritty "Blue Dog Lounge" to my favorite, the enchanting "Walkin' On the Moon",this is certainly a goodie from a most talented lady."
To order, just click on my truck!
If you haven't heard Terri Hendrix' CD, "The Art of Hanging Wallpaper," then you best go check it out! I'm busting my seams over her rendition of "Long Ride Home," and the whole CD is an ear pleasing delight. I especially like her song, "Everybody Wants to Use God." This woman writes about issues that are right on target these days!
Terri sent me a copy of her new children's CD, "Celebrate the Difference," which has, "Walking On The Moon", a Herb McCullough, Pie song, on it, and it's GREAT!
Thanks again Terri for liking my songs and for
recording and singing them out there!
